It Reigned, It Floored.
New DOAF Offering Takes Air Max Day By Storm.
The Pacific Northwest is known for its natural wonders and epic weather. But even so, no one could have predicted what was about to drop from DOAF on Air Max Day this year: a hybrid Air Max 95/97 model that even seasoned sneakerheads never had on their radar.
Inspired by the theme “Nature Reimagined,” which celebrates the University of Oregon’s position at the crossroads of innovation and nature, Ducks of a Feather’s new design married elements from two iconic Air Max models, pairing the tooling from the ’95 with the upper from the ’97 to form a distinctive silhouette the likes of which had never been seen before.
As if that weren’t enough, the new hybrid design rolled out in three weather-themed colorways — Lightning, Thunder and Storm — each featuring its own combination of vibrant reflective materials and iconic University of Oregon colors.
The Lightning colorway featured a reflective rainbow and silver synthetic upper materials and a green glow-in-the-dark airbag in the sole. The Thunder colorway paired a green and gold color shift synthetic upper with a sole featuring a yellow glow-in-the-dark airbag. The Storm colorway featured a gold and green/gold shift synthetic upper with a Volt Green colored airbag.
As with all Ducks of a Feather offerings, proceeds go to help support participating University of Oregon student-athletes across all sports.
